Water Future
Lack of water is our existential threat to the future of Woodbury. Our water comes from underneath a toxic waste dump. Other communities do not have the same challenge.
The current health level for PFCs in our water is 7 to 11 parts per trillion (ppt) according to the CDC's latest draft Minimum Risk Level. This is the most recently updated health standard. In contrast, Woodbury has 26 to 49 ppt in 5 of 19 Woodbury water wells. This is a problem that likely will continue to worsen.
Particularly for our children, we need to be assisting with Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration of water for human consumption. Home Depot or Menards has additional information on individual remediation until a city wide facility can be installed.
